Thousands of residents remained without power Monday morning, following Sunday night’s windstorm caused by the remnants of Hurricane Ike, with a wind gust reported at the Beaver County Airport at 79 miles an hour at the height of the storm.
Among the hardest hit areas were Center, Hopewell, Chippewa and Darlington townships, with some residents being told they might not have power until Thursday.
Beaver, South Side Area and Freedom Area school districts were closed for the day because of power outages.
For additional information, see Tuesday’s Times, or go to www.timesonline.com.
So basically all trees and a telephone poll or something fell down and alot of people power went off it might take till Thursday for other people to get there power back...
