Yeah, if someone asks you to go out with them and on the first day they say "Ill love you" most likely its not true you can't rush love.

Yeah, took me and my mate 2 months before we'd say it. And even now we use it sparingly, I hate being in a relationship where every secound word is "I love you", it loses all meaning Rolling Eyes

I'm a little late to this discussion, but I'm gonna go ahead and give my two cents. In response to the thread title, no. Love, most certainly is not pain. It seems to me what you describing was the anguish of a
breakup, and not necessarily that of love. Thus, your certain scenario does also describe the loss of of the bond.
