Update 1/18/10

Hi Gaming Forum members, you all suck! Want to not suck? Well read this topic and you will be rewarded with chocolate, and honor...but mostly chocolate.

Spent the last 2 hours working on this update, and listening to Magical Trevor by MrWeebl lol. This is what I have been working on for this whole time.

1- An Elite Member is Approaching!
Congratulations to MCS for being promoted to Elite. We now have 4 cool, and active Elite Members.

2- 3, 2, 1, FIGHT!
Yea I added one new forum (Didn't see that coming huh...No? Why am I not surprised.) Go to Other Gaming, and you will see the new "Fighting Games" forum. Pretty much self-explanatory, just discuss fighting video games.

3- Bye-bye Levels and Awards
I have deleted 2 things, the Levels and Awards feature, nobody used them, no point to keep them, right? But we will still have the "Member of the Month" thing (The Staff Members will vote for the Member of the Month.) If you get the spot you will receive 150 points and I will make one of those boxes that looks like the "Top Achievers" widget. You will be there for the whole month until a new member is picked. If this doesn't work out, i'll just take that off too.

4- Smile!
Guess what I have done that I haven't done in a long time? Can anyone say, New Smilies and Moods? I have added 8 new smilies and deleted 2 smilies (I deleted the Mario and Sonic smilies, but I replaced them will cooler ones.) I also got rid of the smilies pages (You know, Smilies 1, Smilies 2, Smilies 3, and Smilies 4.), I just put them all on the same page instead of going from page to page looking for one. As for the moods, same thing, deleted some, and added or replaced a lot. Go check them out.

5- Insert 0 Coin(s)
I finally added some new arcade games, most of them are from newgrounds, so if it asks about getting medals and not being logged on, just X that message out. I only added 2, I was going to add more, but my computer froze on me and I had to shut it off. I still have 5 more to add, I will add them as the week goes by.

6- Your Username will now be colored with whatever rank you are
I was going to put it where, whatever rank you are, Beginner, Kool, Poster, A True Poster, etc. your username will be colored for that rank. But I'm having problems with it, if I mark the group as hidden (Where you can't see it.) the names don't color, but if I make it Closed (Can't join unless I add you, or you make the required number of posts.) or Open (Anybody can join it at anytime without having me to add you.) it shows up in the Legend section (Where it says Administrators, Elite Members, Global Moderators, and Moderators.), and I don't want that. If there's nothing I can do about that, then I'm just going to do it where it shows up in Legend, not a big deal.

Oh but I deleted the open usergroups, like Music, Nintendo, and Sega fans. There's a limit for how many groups you can have (Of course), so I had to delete some groups, sorry guys, but they weren't important anyways.

7- Battle Arena Announcement
The next battle will be on January 22, 2010. Join and fight it in or else...
Decided to cancel this, I'm just closing the Battle Arena until the forum becomes more active.

8- Best Week Ever Announcement
I'm just going to quote what I said in a old news topic when I first mentioned this.

Oh and last but not least, just an announcement for something that i will do soon. It's going to be called, "Doubled Points Weekend" or, "The Best Weekend Ever". I don't know the name, you can come up with one if you want, not really sure about what to call it. But it will be in a few weeks, from the begging of Friday, until the end of Sunday. This will be a weekend to rank up some points and experience points. You know how every time you post, you get a couple of points? Well now...YOU WILL GET MORE. If you make a post, topic, friend, get thanked, rep'd, or get commented, you will get more points that usual. For bonus points, you will get MORE bonus points, like you know how you get +5 points for every 100 posts you make? Well during that weekend, you will get MORE than 5, same for all of the bonus points. PLUS, you will get more experience points for stuff, so you can level up faster. That's not all, anything you buy with points, in the "Points Shop", or "Battle Arena" will be CHEAPER!!! That's right, items for everything will be cheaper. AND THAT'S NOT ALL, I WILL GIVE EVERYONE $1,000,000 DOLLARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And yes...i am serious. The date of when i will do this is still unknown, but certainly sometime next month, and i will try to do this every year...or couple of months, but maybe every year. I want to do it for when people start to come on more, so if people are a little active more, i will certainly do it. So please stay on to be updated on when i will do this, or go on Gaming Forum's Facebook page to be updated. You don't want to miss this, i know you don't.

That's what the "Best Week Ever" will be about, but instead of a weekend, it will be for a whole week from Sunday through Saturday. This will begin next Sunday, so remember to come on!

9- Small stuff
This isn't really important, but there's 2 things I need you guys to help me with, and 1 thing just to let you guys know about.
In Forum Improvements, there's 2 thing I want to guys to post on.
1) Poll Suggestions

I have made 81 polls (I think somebody came up with 1 or 2 of them, but I don't remember.) But now, I AM RUNNING OUT OF IDEAS!!! Please suggest something for me, please!!! Post on the topic if you have any ideas.
2) Achievements to Trophies

I want to change the Achievements system to something related to the PS3 Trophy system. Read the topic for more info.
3) Gaming Forum Easter Eggs.
Look out for the new GF Easter Eggs, there's 3 of them, they bring you up to ether a website that plays a song, or a picture. Think you can find them all? They are not that hard to find ether so keep an eye out.
