newest gaming addition by atlus, this is a sequal to the first game RAIDOU KUZUNOHA VS THE SOULLESS ARMY. first off let me explain the gameplay.

Gameplay:


the gameplay utilizes a sort of real time based type of system. it's sorta like kingdom hearts re:com and FFXII's battle system combined except in ffxii you had to wait for your attacks to charge you can go in and start beating the crap out of them. in these fights you get to summon a "demon" to assist you in the field of battle,they are assorted into different orders

Pyro Order
Frost Order
Wind Order
Pagan Order
Skill Order
Volt Order
Fury Order

These differ from each other not only by their orders but they're negotiation tactics and outfield investigation processes.

so the goal of this thing is the same as a traditional rpg game deplete the enemy's hp to zero. this game actually takes good reflexes to succesfully conquer an enemy
but it's quick to get so here are the basics:

O= Weak Sword Slash
Square= Fire a bullet you have infinite amuunition but you must reload after 6 shots
Triangle= Strong Sword Slash however it uses MAG
X= Dodge
X+analog stick+ Roll
L1= Guard
L2 tap= call your demons to your side
L2 Hold = make your demons invincible
R1= Bring up battle menu

so those are the basics.

Fusion:

ah yes the process of combining two creatures to make 1 powerful creature all your fusions will be handled by this dude:



so the name is basically what it means create 1 creature by getting 2

so say you wanted to fuse for example : Demon 1 with Demon 2 not only will it make 1 but it will carry over some of the skills from either 2 demons which is really helpful believe me

i'll get back to this l8r don't have that much information at hand right now

Getting Demons:

Classic shin megami tensei games return with the usual way in getting demons

NEGOTIATIONS:


so what your trying to do here is to recruit that demon to being yours well how you might ask...with the help of your demons.

earlier i said that each order has a different type of persuasion for example: patter which means joke. one way or another the demon will either be yours or be a jerk and runaway. however it might ask for money,Mag,or life Energy.


Plot


the main jist of this plot is a whole detective story investigation type of plot.

you play as a young detective who is part of the Kuzunoha clan this dude:


Raidou Kuzunoha the 14th,however you can name him. in assistance is cat called gouto *no pic srry* he is actualyl the first RAIDOU KUZUNOHA who had his soul put into a cat...yeah farfetched but his main purpose is to watch over all those who recieve his name servin as a mentor to this character.

so the main summary of the plot is that you are hired to find a person called Dahn however soon you find out this is not an ordinary manhunt case, soon you have to use your summoner powers to wipe out all disturbances in the capital.*end of spoilers*

9.9 this is my first taste of Shin megami tensei and i like it. it's harder than persona 4 let me clear that but dude everything just fits,the characters,the music,the setting,the gameplay everything! of course it's only been out for 2 days so let's just consider this a temporary review alright well peace out
